Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 16, 2026

This policy covers the PSLoom documentation website at psloom.github.io/wiki, maintained by the PSLoom project. It describes the website's current configuration. It does not describe data stored locally by PowerShell modules you install or run.

For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

Reading the documentation

The wiki is a static website. Reading it does not require an account. The site does not provide registration, payment forms or newsletter subscriptions. Its current configuration includes no advertising, analytics scripts or tracking pixels added by PSLoom.

Images, styles, scripts and the search index are served with the website.

Hosting

The website is configured for GitHub Pages. GitHub processes information needed to deliver and secure the site. In particular, GitHub states that it logs visitors' IP addresses for security, whether or not they are signed in.

See GitHub Pages data collection and the GitHub Privacy Statement for GitHub's processing, retention and privacy request procedures.

The site uses browser storage to remember interface preferences, such as your choice of light or dark theme. You can remove these preferences by clearing site data in your browser. The site may also follow your operating system's color preference.

Documentation search runs in your browser using an index downloaded from the website. The site does not submit your search terms to a hosted search provider. Search terms may appear in the address bar when opening search results; URLs can be stored in browser history and included when you share a link.

PSLoom does not add advertising or analytics cookies to the wiki. Browser storage for interface preferences is separate from the hosting provider's processing.

Messages and community contributions

If you email us, we receive your address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond to your request or handle a community report. Email providers also process messages as part of delivering and storing them. Please send only the personal information needed for your request.

Access to private reports should be limited to those handling them. Information may need to be shared to investigate an incident, protect participants or comply with a legal obligation. We retain correspondence only as needed to handle the request, follow up on an incident or meet applicable obligations.

Issues, pull requests and other contributions made in public GitHub spaces are public. Avoid including private information in them. GitHub handles these contributions under its own policies; repository history, forks and other copies can preserve published material.

Your choices and requests

You can clear browser storage and history using your browser settings. Contact [email protected] to ask about information you have provided to the project or request access, correction or deletion. Available rights and exceptions depend on applicable law. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

Requests concerning information held independently by GitHub should follow the procedures in its privacy statement. The project cannot erase copies controlled by other parties.

Following a link to GitHub or another external website takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. Review that service's policy before providing personal information.

Changes

When the site's features or practices change, we will update this page and its revision date. The current policy remains available through the wiki's footer.
